Ryan Gosling has kicked off the international press tour for his new movie Project Hail Mary!

The 45-year-old actor walked the red carpet alongside co-star Sandra Huller at the world premiere event on Monday (March 9) at Cineworld Leicester Square in London, England.

Here’s the movie synopsis: Science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.

On the red carpet, Ryan was also joined by co-star James Ortiz, who voices and acts as lead puppeteer of the alien Rocky. Also in attendance were directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
