Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got engaged in August 2025, leaving fans wanting to know more about how the A-list couple will make their upcoming wedding day special
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce entered wedding planning mode after their August proposal.
While appearing at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Taylor seemed to confirm the pair were still on track for the big day. In fact, when Raye performed her song “Where is My Husband!,” Taylor, 36, flashed her massive engagement ring at Travis, also 36, with the pair giving glowing smiles. Plus, she also sent him some love during her acceptance speech, hinting their love was still alive.
“[The Life of a Showgirl] probably feels very happy, confident and free, because that’s the way I get to feel every single day of my life because of my fiancé,” she said. It comes as fans wondered if she was sending a message with her fashion choices.

Taylor previously said she’d never truly started wedding planning until she met Travis. “You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person,” she said on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden.
The details about Taylor’s wedding, though, have been kept largely under wraps. She didn’t shy away from discussing preliminary plans during her appearance on The Graham Norton Show, and the pop star even shared she’s hoping it’ll be big. When it comes to the invites, Taylor said the list will include “anyone I’ve ever talked to.”
The guest list itself is still private, though, Taylor previously indicated she wanted her best friend Ed Sheeran to perform. “I mean it would be hard to keep him from it I think,” she previously said on Hits Radio Breakfast. “The thing is he’s like, ‘I’m always being asked to sing at weddings. It’s like ‘Ed, if there’s a stage, you know that you’ll be on it.’ He knows what people want, and he wants to give people what they want.”
An insider told Us Weekly that the guest list is so massive that it might need to be split between two locations, likely her Rhode Island mansion and nearby five-star resort Ocean House. However, the insider said the locations aren’t fully locked in yet — pointing to Taylor’s philosophy to have “a plan B and C for every scenario.”
When it comes to setting a date, the planning gets a bit difficult. After all, Travis just signed an extension deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, meaning he’ll be returning to his football training and games yet again this season. “The wedding timeline is based on Travis’ offseason rhythm,” a source said. For now, they pair are just savoring their time together.
Overall, the wedding is expected to be more traditional in style “with Taylor’s dad walking her down the aisle and all the classic touches, like the father-daughter and mother-son dances,” according to an insider.
Her wedding gown will likely take a similar timeless approach, and it’s reportedly in the final stages of design. It’s unknown exactly which designer the soon-to-be bride has partnered with, but in the past, she’s worked with Oscar de la Renta, Roberto Cavalli, and Versace.
The source suggested Taylor won’t be putting together a standard wedding party, but is looking forward to getting ready with her close friends. After all, she’s already publicly indicated that she’s excited by the idea of a bachelorette party. On Heart Breakfast, though, she disclosed that her friends are both busy and global. “It would be fun,” she said, contemplating the possibility.
