Influencer Bretman Rock is getting back out there again.

In a new exclusive with PEOPLE, Rock opened up about returning to the world of dating four months after calling it quits with his ex-boyfriend, Justice Fester.

Now, Rock is in a new era of life, prioritizing his own path in life while casually exploring dating again.

“I feel like June me and December me are two different people — I feel like I’ve stepped into a new life,” he explained to PEOPLE. “In June, I had a man. I was very much in a different time in my life. And now I’m in a very different headspace.”

Rock then revealed to the outlet that though he may not have a committed partner, he’s not immune to the desire to cuddle up with someone during the holiday season.

“She is dating,” he said, referring to himself. “You know, it is cuddle season. I’m just a little squirrel at the end of the day looking for a treat — a nut if you will.”

Rock and Fester were together for just over a year before Rock announced their breakup in an Instagram story in August.

“Since a lot of you guys have been asking in the comments and DMs where Justice is, I just wanted to quickly address that we are no longer together,” he said in the Instagram video. “It was a mutual breakup — it was amicable. And there’s one thing that I want to get out of the way: We are still friends. We still have love for each other.”

He also emphasized that if the circumstances of life ever shifted in a way that made sense for them to get back together, they would be open to it, but for the time being they were going their separate ways.

“I do believe that if in divine timing, if we’re really meant for each other, then we will find each other again,” Rock said.
