If the Academy Awards are the crown jewel or grande dame of awards season, then the Vanity Fair Oscar Party is like their fun, adventurous plus-one. At the annual event, hosted by Teen Vogue sister publication Vanity Fair, stars pose in their red carpet finest, mingle, and celebrate the night’s biggest winners. While there are other high-profile Oscar night parties, the Vanity Fair fete is pretty legendary; it’s a fashion event, a media event, a “IYKYK” event, and we’re already excited about tuning in for the 2026 installment.

Even if you didn’t snag an invite, you can watch the red carpet via livestream and keep an eye on your fave celebs. Last year, we oohed and ahhed over Olivia Rodrigo, Keke Palmer, Rosalía, Jenna Ortega, and so many more. (Seriously, the 2025 Oscar Party had a stellar red carpet showing.)

If you, like us, love checking out the fashion trends and over-the-top gowns at the legendary afterparty, here’s what you need to know before tuning in.

When is the Vanity Fair Oscar Party?

As the name suggests, the party starts after the Academy Awards ceremony is over, the big awards are announced, and attendees are ready to let loose. The Oscar Party starts at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT. on March 15.

How do I watch the Vanity Fair Oscar Party?

It really couldn’t be easier to tune in. After you’re done with the main ceremony, switch over to vanityfair.com or youtube.com/vanityfair, and you’ll be able to watch the first arrivals hit the red carpet.

Who is hosting the Vanity Fair Oscar Party?

This year, Feeding Starving Celebrities host Quenlin Blackwell, Therapuss podcast host Jake Shane, and Royal Court host Brittany Broski will be front and center chatting up the attendees. According to Shane, the three were on set for a different project before being asked to host the live stream. “First of all, I wanted to go to the event regardless. To be able to host it is just such an honor,” he told Vanity Fair. “I would assume maybe the on-set chemistry led to BTS discussions of hosting, but I don’t know. That’s what I think happened.”

All three hosts are very excited for the event; Blackwell said she’s rooting for Bugonia and “looking forward to speaking to people that I would’ve not gotten the chance to really speak to in any other sort of situation, unless it was my cooking show.” Broski is ready to talk books with nominee Jacob Elordi. “I know he loves to talk about literature. So how do we nail that in the 90 seconds I have with him?” she told the publication. “But it can be done.” And we’ll be tuning in to see it!
