Taylor Swift is not pleased that her private texts with Blake Lively have been made public.
In a People article published on Wednesday, January 28, a source told the outlet that the 36-year-old pop star “is just trying to stay away from the drama.”
“Taylor feels like her privacy was impacted,” the source explained. “Anyone would be uncomfortable if their private texts were suddenly made public.”
The source noted that the 14-time Grammy Award winner “was just being a friend to Blake, and it’s turned into something bigger than she ever expected.”

As Star previously reported, on Tuesday, January 20, messages between Lively and Swift spanning from April 2023 to December 2024 were unsealed amid the 38-year-old Gossip Girl alum’s ongoing sexual harassment lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
In court documents obtained by Star, the A Simple Favor star asked the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker to act excited in front of Baldoni, 42, about a scene in the movie when Swift went over to Lively’s apartment in April 2024.

“Can you tell him you’re excited for the movie? That you read the book but what you’re freaking out over is the pages I sent you. What a magnetic scene that is. Or whatever descriptives you’re comfortable w[ith],” Lively asked.
“I’ll do anything for you !!” the singer-songwriter replied to Lively’s messages.
Swift also texted Lively in April 2024 that “if Justin was strategic,” then “he would be like no Taylor Swift in the trailer,” referring to how Baldoni used her hit song “My Tears Ricochet” in the film’s trailer.
“His misogyny runs so deep he thinks women are incapable of winning chess matches or making long game power plays,” Swift wrote in one text.
