Soap legend Susan Lucci, who played All My Children’s Eric Kane since her character debuted on Jan. 16, 1970 to the last broadcast episode on Sept. 23, 2011, took to Instagram to praise her former costar, who starred on the daytime soap when he was a young teen.

“Congratulations @michaelbjordan on your Oscar! I watched last night and was so excited to see you win,” Lucci captioned a photo of her and Jordan from an episode. “AND what a beautiful, gracious, and authentic acceptance speech you gave. So proud to have worked with Michael on AMC!!! What a spectacular actor he is!!!”

Walt Willey, who played Jackson Montgomery, the adoptive father of Jordan’s Reggie Montgomery on All My Children, echoed Lucci’s sentiment in his Instagram post and shared a sweet memory from his days working with Jordan.

“CONGRATULATIONS to my AMC son, ‘Reggie,’ Michael B. Jordan, for last night’s Oscar win! Such a proud father am I,” he captioned a series of shots of him and Jordan from his days on the soap. “All of us at AMC knew that Michael was going to be BIG! When he came on set after a meeting with our Executive Producer and — with tears in his eyes — shared that AMC would not be picking up his contract, we all had the same reaction: ‘You’re on to bigger and better things, MJ!’ And, boy, was he ever!”

Willey revealed that Jordan would catch a ride with him to and from whenever their schedules aligned, since they both lived in New Jersey. “We enjoyed each other’s company and I found him to be a fascinating and earnest young man, with strong family ties, a fantastic work ethic and decent to the bone,” the soap star shared. “And he still is all that. So congratulations again — and ALL LOVE — to one of the hardest working and most deserving actors out there!”

Miles Teller, a more recent costar of Jordan’s, took fans behind the scenes of their days filming 2014’s That Awkward Moment with his post on X.

“What’s up, Blue!!!! So proud of my guy @michaelb4jordan,” Teller captioned a photo of him and Jordan pulling funny faces at the camera. “Top of the mountain.”

Teller and Jordan also costarred in 2015’s movie Fantastic Four, alongside Jamie Bell and Kate Mara, although that probably isn’t a credit that either of them are interested in revisiting.

Kerry Washington kept her praise concise yet poignant on Threads, writing, “MICHAEL B. JORDAN!!!!! Talent. Discipline. Generosity. Grace. So proud of you @michaelbjordan. ”

Similarly, Sheryl Lee Ralph noted on Threads that “the audience roared , stood up and cheered!!!” in her observations of Jordan’s big winning moment.

Lupita Nyong’o — Black Panther costar, good friend, and fellow Oscar winner — paid tribute to Jordan and Sinners’ three other winners: Coogler, Autumn Durald Arkapaw, and Ludwig Goransson.

“Big YESSSSSS on your well-deserved ACADEMY AWARDS! Last night, when we heard each of your names called, friendship, artistic collaboration and personal achievement were on full display,” Nyong’o captioned her Instagram post with several images of the foursome from Sunday’s ceremony. “I loved to see you do this together and I’m so proud of each one of you Major Congratulations!”

Fellow Best Actor in a Leading Role winners Will Smith and Jamie Foxx sent Jordan some love after he honored them as part of the previous Black winners of the ceremony’s major award during his acceptance speech.

Smith shared a photo of Jordan holding up his award on Instagram and captioned the post, “CONGRATS, Beloved. Makin’ History!”

Foxx shared a video of Jordan’s winning moment, paying tribute to his critically acclaimed portrayal of the twins who return to their hometown to open a juke joint, only for their nighttime festivities to draw the attention of vampires.

“I can barely breathe right now… you were absolutely incredible in this film,” Foxx, 58, began the caption of his post. “An amazing actor, an amazing director — truly all of the above. Tonight we celebrate you: your talent, your mystique, and your incredible passion for the craft.”

Foxx went on to declare that Jordan “deserve(s) two Oscars for this one,” adding, “When I sat down to watch the movie, I already knew it was going to be special the moment I saw a pair of Jordans on screen. Then the first line — ‘Are you guys twins?’ and you hit us with, ‘No… we cousins!’ — man, I was locked in from there. Congratulations, my brother @michaelbjordan. You’re operating in rare air right now. Celebrate it to the fullest… and trust me, the after-party is going to be crazy.”
