George Clooney did not bother speaking to Fox News while walking among the other celebrities at the red carpet event for the Golden Globes.

Hollywood A-lister George Clooney, 64, seemed to have ditched speaking with the press, including Fox News host Johnny “Joey” Jones as he moved across the red carpet event before attending the Golden Globes awards ceremony.

In a short video released online, the Fox News host appeared to be in a jovial mood as he spoke French ahead of the Golden Globes, which had its own fair share of movie snubs. At the top of his lungs, Jones shouted Clooney’s first name multiple times and screamed out, “Bonjour,” which means “Hello.”

The Good Night, and Good Luck actor, who was vocal against President Trump at the show, continued walking and did not stop slow down as Jones shouted, “It’s me!”

Clooney responded, “It’s you again,” in jest and kept walking across the red carpet. George walked the red carpet with his wife, Amal Alamuddin Clooney, 47, who donned a red Balmain gown. The couple has been married for about 11 years.

The star did bother to speak with the host for a short interview, unlike comedian Wanda Sykes, 61, who wore a white pin with the words ‘Be Good’ in honor of Renee Nicole Good, who was fatally shot by a masked ICE agent. Skyes and Jones went on to have a satirical and friendly conversation amid her anti-Trump campaign at the event.

The Ocean’s Eleven actor continued with the French theme at the ceremony and spoke in another language during his presentation. Before handing over the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture for the period drama, Hamnet, the Jay Kelly Golden Globe nominee started off his speech by greeting his Hollywood pals with “Bonsoir, mes amis. “

He continued with, “C’est un honneur d’être ici,” which translates to “It’s an honor to be here.”

Audiences flooded their social media accounts and commented on Clooney’s jab at President Donald Trump, who had previously mocked his French citizenship.

One audience member posted, “George Clooney mocking Trump for having mocked that he is now a French citizen is hilarious.”

Another viewer chimed, “I know Trump is punching air right now, George Clooney’s back in the US #GoldenGlobes.”

Last year on Truth Social, Trump posted: “Good News! George and Amal Clooney, two of the worst political prognosticators of all time, have officially become citizens of France, which is, sadly, in the midst of a major crime problem because of their absolutely horrendous handling of immigration, much like we had under Sleepy Joe Biden.”

Clooney responded with his jab at the president and wrote, “I totally agree with the current president. We have to make America great again. We’ll start in November.”

Since 2021, George and his wife, Amal, along with their two children, have resided in France after buying a farm estate.
