It’s radio shuffle season in South Africa, with radio stations across the country announcing changes to their 2026 lineups.

Hlophe had been confirmed to be retaining his spot on “The Uprising”, which he currently co-hosts with Minnie Ntuli, but his post was talking of a last episode.

In his post, Hlophe bids farewell to his baby “The Uprising”, adding that “it’s the end of an era”.

He went on to explain that the name “The Uprising” came to him in a dream long before he knew his radio breakfast show would be The Uprising.

“I hoped to change the way people listened to radio. I believe my job here is done. On to the next !!! I close this chapter with a fulfilled heart. I thank God for this opportunity. I will forever be known for this name and era. Looking forward to the future show. #TheLastEpisode.”

April 1, 2026, is the start of a new radio and Hlophe and Ntuli are set to kick start a new show on the same time slot.
