Citing a source close to the couple, the celebrity news magazine reported that DeGeneres isn’t moving back to the U.S., but will be splitting her time between the Golden State and the U.K.
Back in 2024, and just several months after Trump was sworn in, the former talk show host had purchased a $14-million farmhouse in the Cotswolds, England.
She and de Rossi later reportedly moved to another home in the village to accommodate their horses.
A real estate source told PEOPLE that the couple has been “missing the California weather and horse scene” since their move.
“Portia loves polo and her horses,” the source added.
The 68-year-old comedian was spotted househunting in Montecito last week, according to a New York Post report.

Another local said DeGeneres had been seen frequently in the village over the summer, but she hasn’t been seen since.
Back in July 2025 the comedian spoke out about her move to the U.K. during a live conversation event in Cheltenham, England.
Asked by English broadcaster Richard Bacon if reports that she moved because of Trump were correct. She replied, “Yes,” the BBC reported.
She added that she and her wife “got here the day before the election,” but then “woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘He got in.’ … And we’re like, “We’re staying here.’”
