Trending Now: This entertainment story covers the latest buzz, reactions, and updates surrounding Trending Now: Denise Austin Joins Viral Online Trend With ’90s Throwback Photos That Fans Adore – Fans React..
Denise Austin just jumped on a viral social media trend that has her fans in their feelings.
Right now, seemingly everyone is sharing their best throwback photos with a message that asks, “Mom, what were you like in the 90s?” To make the trend even more fun, it’s set to Goo Goo Dolls’ biggest hit, “Iris.”
In Austin’s case, the famous fitness guru started with a current photo where she’s smiling for the camera while sitting behind a table, hands clasped comfortably in front of her with her frosty blonde hair pulled half back and trailing down in loose curls over her shoulders.
Then, the slideshow kicks off, showing Austin in the ’90s, first wearing a silky white leotard, and a huge smile showing off every tooth in her perfectly straight, white smile.
The second photo cuts to Austin, who got her start as the first fitness correspondent on the Today show. In it, she can be seen sitting on a white floor, leaning to the side with her weight resting on one hand, with the other resting on a knee. She donned a matching turquoise crop top and bike shorts, still sporting her signature blonde locs.
The third photo was a black-and-white action shot where Austin was caught mid-jump in a belted unitard, sneakers, and slouch socks. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she flexed while catching air.
There were several more photos showing the 69-year-old more than three decades ago in various workout gear, on magazine covers, and sharing a mix of fitness moves.
She captioned the slideshow, writing, “I LOVE this trend… it’s right up my alley… The ’90s you ask!!??? Well… lots of high energy workouts, colorful leotards, big hair, and helping women everywhere get up and MOVE!!! Looking back at these clips brings back so many fun memories, and it makes me smile that we’re STILL moving together all these years later. The ’90s were such a fun time..”
Clearly, Austin’s fans loved her take on this popular trend and were quick to pile on the praise. One commenter gushed, “You haven’t changed much” and commented on how the fitness fanatic has the same energy now as she did back then.
Another shared, “I have so many of your videos and dvd’s, still love them and still workout to the dvd’s! I love your positive energy and upbeat attitude, I have never grown tired of them!”
“What a career, you inspired us all!!” a third fan chimed in.
Amid a sea of heart and fire emojis, another fan shared, “What a career you have had, congratulations “
