Chris Noth tackled the snide comment he made about his Sex and the City co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, head on with his latest post on social media on Wednesday, January 14

Former Sex and the City star Chris Noth has addressed his recent dig at his ex-Sex and the City co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, after the comment went viral on social media.

Chris, 71, who became shunned in Hollywood after two women anonymously claimed in 2021 that he sexually assaulted them on two different occasions in 2004 and 2015, found himself back in the spotlight this week for another not-so-good reason. Shortly after Sarah, 60, was honored with the Carol Burnett Award at the Golden Eve’s ceremony ahead of the 2026 Golden Globe Awards ceremony on Sunday, January 11, Chris snubbed her milestone under his Instagram post.

In response to someone who wrote, “You mean f- -k Sarah Jessica Parker and her award right? Lol,” beneath the “F&@k New Years – LET’S GO!” gym photo he shared on Instagram days ago, he replied, “Right.”

His simply agreeing with an offensive remark resulted in social media users speculating why Chris would respond in such a way and what issue he personally had with Sarah.

On Wednesday, January 14, Chris finally gave some insight, writing, “My off-the-cuff, slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot. It is not news. It is not worth all this discussion. It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about,” for the caption of a professional headshot he uploaded.

In the snap, Chris was dressed in a dark gray long-sleeved top with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows as he smiled for the camera.

Fans in his comment section gave him props for speaking on the situation, and even felt he wasn’t in the wrong.

Obviously! But we love you, and you’re on the right side! Love you, My Lord, from Argentina! Forever and ever!” one exclaimed as another shared, “Express yourself, it’s your account. Do whatever you want. We are here with you!” Another expressed, “Fair enough. You weren’t wrong, though.”

One of Chris’s most notable roles was as New York’s big-time business mogul, known as Mr. Big in the SATC franchise. His character was the long-time love interest of Sarah’s lead character Carrie Bradshaw, and later became Carrie’s husband in the first SATC movie.

Chris appeared in the SATC sequel, but was removed from the following SATC spinoff television series, And Just Like That, after news broke of his sexual assault allegations in 2021. Although he vehemently denied the allegations, and no charges were filed, Chris hasn’t appeared in any movie or television shows since then.
