Brooklyn Beckham made a damning Instagram statement about his parents David and Victoria, and fans are now speculating there could be a Netflix documentary in the works
Netflix subscribers believe they’ve figured out the “real reason” behind Brooklyn Beckham’s explosive statement.
The oldest child of the Beckham clan broke his silence on Monday night with a scathing and lengthy Instagram post, making several allegations against his mom, Victoria Beckham, 51, and dad, David Beckham, 50. He stated he had no intention to “reconcile” with his family members in his first public comments after months of rumors about a family “feud.”
Brooklyn, 26, accused his parents of “attacking” him and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, 31, via the media, claiming they tried to “ruin” his marriage. He maintained he had “no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth,” after years of “being silent for years.”

Brooklyn said he was “standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” accusing his parents of planting “countless lies in the media” to “preserve their own facade.”
Among his allegations, he mentioned his 2022 wedding, claiming mom Victoria “cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour” and that the ex-Spice Girl “hijacked” their first dance by performing “very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.”
He also alleged that he and his wife were snubbed by father Sir David when they visited London for his 50th birthday party. Brooklyn and Nicola were conspicuously missing from the celebrity-filled event.
He continued: “I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.
I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
David and Victoria have remained silent on the statement and haven’t issued their own response.
But after their Netflix documentaries aired in recent years, chronicling their careers and time in the spotlight, fans are speculating that Brooklyn might be next in line for his own series.
One observer commented: “Not to be cynical, but it sounds like a setup for a Netflix series. Can see an exclusive in a couple of years time called something like “The Beckham’s Resolution”. Cynicism now fully achieved.”
Another suggested: “With the Brooklyn Beckham thing it all looks a bit sus. This sort of thing worked for Prince Harry when he made money by leaving the royal family and speaking out about his family. How do we not know that this time next week Brooklyn will have a Netflix deal.”
A third person criticized: “My guess is Brooklyn Beckham writes a book called “I’m also a spare” Makes a netflix series and makes his millions off the back of slating his family! Sounds really familiar.”
Another fan commented: “We need a Brooklyn Beckham @Netflix show to complete the trilogy,” while someone else questioned: “When does this s–t soap opera appear on Netflix?”.
A third viewer speculated: “Don’t be surprised if Netflix announces a documentary on the Beckham family saga and Brooklyn’s whole outburst is actually just buildup to it.”
One follower remarked: “Someone call Netflix… The Beckham family feud has a better plot than most shows.”
Yet another observer noted: “This Beckham tea… Is this why they gave us those Netflix limited series??”.
A curious fan suggested: “Netflix need to give Brooklyn Beckham his own doc now, it’s only fair (and I’m nosey as hell),” with another requesting: “Hi @Netflix Can you do a season 2 of the Beckham documentary now please. It’ll be crazy. Thanks.”
The Netflix documentary Beckham chronicled David’s journey to stardom from his modest upbringing to becoming a soccer legend.
The 2023 production delved into his romance with the Spice Girl, along with claims of an affair with Rebecca Loos and the darkest moments of his professional life.
Victoria’s documentary premiered last year, chronicling her transformation from pop sensation to fashion mogul and mother-of-four. Although her other kids appeared in multiple segments, Brooklyn was notably absent from the program.
