The 2026 Oscars will take place in March, and moviegoers are debating which movie will take home the biggest prize of the evening: Best Picture.

The official nominees won’t be announced until later this month (Thursday, January 22, 2026), with the ceremony itself taking place on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Although there’s no official nominees list just yet, people are already placing their bets on prediction market Kalshi about who will most likely be nominated next year, pouring over $4.7 million into the market volume and counting.
