Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay have been inundated with congratulations from fans as they share a series of snaps from their honeymoon in Mauritius, just days after their wedding

Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, 31, and Holly Ramsay, 26, daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, have posted a collection of romantic photographs from their honeymoon in Mauritius. The couple wed shortly after Christmas despite ongoing family tensions, before escaping to warmer climes to mark their nuptials.

The newlyweds showcased their tropical getaway in various swimwear shots, clearly revelling in the sunshine – a stark contrast to the typical British winter weather back home, reports the Mirror.

In one image, they snuggled close beside the pool, with Adam writing: “Honeymoon so far featuring palm trees!”. Supporters flooded the comments with well-wishes, as one fan gushed: “The one and Only! Our fav! ! ! Xx” while another shared: “All the best to you both,” and a third added: “Looks totally gorgeous, honeymoon is so so special!”

A fourth commented: “62 year old ‘young lady here’ Just wanted to say what a beautiful wedding and such a wholesome day. Xxx” and a fifth enthused: “Looks amazing Hope you’re having the best time!” However, the celebrations unfolded against the backdrop of a widely reported rift between Adam, Holly and certain family members, which resulted in the Olympian’s mother Caroline being absent from the ceremony, along with other relatives.

Caroline made her feelings known just before her son’s vows with Holly. She stated she felt the couple had ‘cut out her heart’ with the painful exclusion from their special day. The rift reportedly started when Caroline purchased an outfit for the ceremony that didn’t meet with the bride and groom’s approval.

In the days following the service, Caroline posted enigmatic images on social media.

The first showed an illustration of a robin and a ladybird perched together on a branch, accompanied by text that stated: “Just a little reminder that you don’t have to make resolutions, or huge decisions, or big proclamations. You can just set some sweet intentions and take each day as it comes.”

Adam is currently estranged from both his brothers.

His brother James had originally been due to serve as a groomsman but was also removed from the guest list, alongside their parents.

It’s understood that Adam’s sibling had supposedly sent threatening communications to the swimmer, with reports indicating Adam felt his parents were supporting his brother’s position.

Regardless of the family tensions, Holly, Adam and Holly’s relatives, including her father Gordon, have kept sharing affectionate tributes from the wedding day.

They’ve uploaded footage from the ceremony at Bath Abbey, along with heartfelt messages celebrating the newlyweds.
