Jung Eun-woo has died, his family has confirmed. The actor’s death comes one day after he posted on Instagram, with fans flooding the post with tributes

A celebrated Korean actor has passed away, according to a statement from his family. Jung-Eon-woo starred in a number of Korean films and dramas, after having graduated from university with a chemistry degree. The death of Jung Eun-woo was announced just one day after the star shared a concerning post on social media. Fans were absolutely devastated to hear of his death, flocking to the comments to express their grief over his sudden passing.

The day prior to his passing, the actor had shared images on Instagram featuring Hong Kong actor Leslie Cheung, British singer Amy Winehouse, and a photo of himself.

His caption poignantly read: “Missed, jealous, sorry.”

The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been revealed. Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Friday.

Following the announcement of his death, his followers flooded the comments section of his final post.

One commenter expressed: “I can’t believe this… May the soul of the departed rest in peace.. My heart hurts.”

Another grieving fan commented: “What? ! …why did you die today?

“Why do you do this, bro… Why you leave so soon, bro…? May his soul rest in peace.”, reports the Mirror.

Jung launched his acting career with a role in the third season of the KBS drama Sharp, which aired from 2003 to 2007.

In addition, he played the role of Wang Yi-ryuk, the SBS daily drama “The Return of the Golden Blessing (2015) and the KBS 2TV weekend drama “The One and Only Me.”

The last film in which he appeared was Memory: Manipulated Murder (2021).

Jung Eun-woo is a former Dongguk University theater and Young Chemistry student.

His television credits also included appearances in various other programs, such as the SBS drama Bride of the Sun.
