NBCUniversal has canceled the long-running entertainment news show Access Hollywood after 30 years on the air.
The studio is pulling the plug on first-run syndication shows, which include several other series that air in the daytime and run on different networks depending on the market.
“NBCUniversal is making changes to our first-run syndication division to better align with the programming preferences of local stations,” said executive Frances Berwick (via Variety). “The company will remain active in the distribution of our existing program library and other off-network titles, while winding down production of our first-run shows. These shows have provided audiences with great talk and entertainment content for many years and we’re very proud of the teams behind them.”
Access will continue airing new episodes through September 2026.
Three more shows will be ending.
