From movie premieres to fashion galas, this year was filled with plenty of glamorous occasions for celebrities to put their most fashionable foot forward.
We had a matching orange couple’s moment between lovebirds Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet months after they debuted their relationship on the red carpet, and we had some spectacular method dressing from a number of actors as they promoted their new films.
As always, there were plenty of memorable fashion moments but some celebrities managed to bring their A-game time and time again.
Let’s take a look at some of the style icons who captured our attention with plenty of eye-catching looks throughout 2025.
Margot Robbie
Australia’s sweetheart did not shy away from a bold look this year.
After a brief hiatus from the spotlight as she welcomed her baby boy into the world, Robbie quickly returned to red carpets around the world for the press tour of her new film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.

The actress, who stunned the world with her method dressing for the Barbie press tour in 2023, decided to method dress yet again with some “big bold beautiful” looks as she promoted the movie, in which she stars alongside Colin Farrell.
She embraced the bralette this year, opting for the chic look at the London photocall for the new film, then again for an outing in New York City.
Her most eye-catching look of the year, however, came in September when she took the naked dress trend in her stride, opting for this sheer bejewelled dress for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’s UK premiere.
Olivia Dean
If Robbie’s your stylish girl-next-door, then Olivia Dean is your trendy little sister.
The singer, who lends her heartwarming vocals to her famous tunes like Man I Need and Nice To Each Other, has enjoyed a major rise in fame this year as she takes the music world by storm.
But it’s not just Dean’s Grammy Award-nominated vocals that have heads turning – she is also the latest icon in the world of fashion.
The 26-year-old, under the careful assistance of her stylist Simone Beyene, has become known for her elegant old-Hollywood style.
Some of her most memorable looks from the year include her billowing black custom Chanel gown that she wore for the 2025 Aria Awards in Sydney.
The beaded corset bodice billowed out into a voluminous bubble skirt, under which she wore simple pointed black mules.
Later that evening, she opted for a shimmering flapper-style dress from Australian designer Rachel Gilbert for her performance.
Earlier in the year at Glastonbury Festival, Dean took to the stage in custom Chopova Lorena, which combined mixed-metals, tartan and contrasting colours.
But the winning feature of the ensemble was the portrait of Dean’s grandmother Carmen (who is honoured by Dean’s single Carmen), surrounded by a bejewelled heart on her shirt.
Lindsay Lohan
We don’t hear from her much these days.
After a whirlwind entry to fame as a child star, Lindsay Lohan now lives a quieter life in Dubai with her husband and son away from the Hollywood spotlight.
But a return to her famous role alongside her onscreen mum Jamie Lee Curtis brought her out of the woodwork.
Freakier Friday, the sequel to the 2003 film Freaky Friday, brought nostalgia to many fans but also provided an opportunity for a very stylish press tour – one that Lohan did not shy away from.
As she travelled the globe alongside Curtis, Lohan served up look after look on the Freakier Friday red carpets, including subtle Easter Eggs for fans to lap up.
At the film’s London premiere, Lohan paid homage to her character Anna Coleman’s last look from the original Freaky Friday movie – her wedding guest dress.
Lohan wore a purple dress reminiscent of the one Anna wore in the film and completed the look with a small red guitar-shaped purse, a reference to Anna’s guitar.
Meanwhile, at the Australian premiere of the film, Lohan opted for a sheer Saint Laurent dress, which she paired with a fortune cookie-shaped clutch by Aquazzura.
The statement clutch was a nod to the magical fortune cookies that cause Lohan and Curtis’ characters to switch bodies in the original film.
Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence has been on the scene for a long time, since shooting to fame with the Hunger Games franchise in the 2010s.
She’s been a Hollywood icon for years now but only recently has she captured attention as a true style icon.
“I’ve never looked at J. Law and thought, ‘You’re a fashion girl,’ Marie Claire editor-in-chief Nikki Ogunnaike said of Lawrence told CNN.
“Nothing about her red carpet [clothing] has ever made me say, ‘Yes, this woman cares about fashion. She cares about what she’s wearing.'”
But now Ogunnaike has observed that “somehow her street style has turned her into an icon”.
As she promoted her new film Die, My Love, Lawrence’s red carpet looks and her street style have captured the attention of fans and fashion moguls.
Her style appears effortlessly chic and she wears pieces that suit her status as Hollywood cool girl, that she established for herself over a decade ago.

Sydney Sweeney
She’s been in the headlines for several reasons this year but her fashion continues to turn heads.
The Euphoria actress, who is currently promoting her new film The Housemaid, alongside Amanda Seyfried, has opted for a number of spectacular red carpet looks this year.
Earlier this month, the actress arrived at the New York City screening of her new film in a dazzling sequin dress.
She paired the gown with a white feather boa and wore her blonde hair in Hollywood-style voluminous curls.
She opted for a similar look at the Los Angeles premiere for the film.
She arrived dripping in old-Hollywood glam at the TCL Chinese Theatre, wearing a stunning white halterneck dress with a ruched fitted bodice that flowed into a billowing feather-trimmed skirt.
At one moment, she lifted the skirt to show off its full volume – an image reminiscent of late Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe.
Meanwhile, back in October, the actress jumped on the naked dress trend, which has had its moment in 2025.
The Emmy-nominated star stunned in a form-fitting, iridescent chainmail piece by Christian Cowan, which she paired with delicate, earrings.
She wore the silver ensemble for Variety’s 2025 Power of Women ceremony in Beverly Hills. She was one of the event’s nominees.
