Trending Now: This entertainment story covers the latest buzz, reactions, and updates surrounding Trending Now: 12 Celebrity Fails From 2025 That Were Sooooooo Wild, Unhinged, Or Both – Fans React..
1. Carrie Underwood surprised some with her decision to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration. To add fuel to fire, the sound cut out before she could begin, meaning that she had to sing “America the Beautiful” acapella.
2. On the theme of politics, Nicki Minaj managed to alienate much of her fan base with her growing online fondness for the Trump administration. She even shared a fan edit of figures like Trump, Elon Musk, JD Vance, and RFK Jr. to the tune of her song “Moment 4 Life.” The caption? “The Good Guys.”
3. Blue Origin made headlines for its all-female space mission, with “crew” members including Lauren Sánchez and Katy Perry. Despite their best efforts to promote the 11-minute round trip as a great moment for women, it went on to be widely ridiculed.

4. Then, when it was time for Lauren to marry Jeff Bezos in Venice, some celebrities certainly…raised eyebrows for their attendance. See: Climate activist Leonardo DiCaprio, who also partied on the couple’s megayacht.

5. In “Why would you post this?” news, Justin Bieber chose to celebrate his wife, Hailey Bieber, being on the cover of Vogue by revealing that they once got into a “huge fight” where he said she would “never” be on the cover. After criticism, he edited the caption to be a string of emojis.
6. However, that pales in comparison with how Kristen Bell marked her 12-year anniversary with Dax Shepard: By sharing a photo of them captioned, “Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.'”
7. In terms of literal fails, despite the assurances from multiple psychics, Kim Kardashian did fail the bar exam. A common occurrence with law hopefuls, for sure, but what was more questionable was her use of ChatGPT for “legal advice.” She admitted, “When I need to know the answer to a question, I’ll take a picture and snap it and put it in there. They’re always wrong. It has made me fail tests all the time.”
8. Justin Baldoni made headlines at the start of the year by suing Blake Lively and the New York Times after she accused the It Ends With Us director and star of sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign. Despite making a *lot* of chatter, his case wound up being dismissed by a judge. Oh, and he claimed that he never read the NYT piece that he sued for hundreds of millions of dollars over.

9. Also, in lawsuits that could have gone better, Drake’s lawsuit over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” was dismissed in October. He had filed a lawsuit against his own (and Kendrick’s) record label, Universal Music Group, accusing them of defamation. He’s said he’ll appeal.
10. In October, Erika Kirk introduced JD Vance at an event in honor of her deceased husband, Charlie Kirk. She seemingly donned pleather pants for the occasion, embracing Vance with her hands in his hair. “No one will ever replace my husband, no, but I do see some similarities of my husband in JD,” she said.

11. When Jimmy Kimmel was suspended by ABC, actor Noah Centineo posted a screenshot sharing that he’d cancelled his Disney+ subscription. One slight problem — the date in the screenshot sure made it seem like he’d purchased a yearlong subscription just to cancel it.
12. Last, but not least, there’s Sydney Sweeney. Here are a few news stories about her in the past year: The American Eagle “great genes/jeans” campaign got major backlash, it was revealed that she’s a registered Republican, her response to the backlash got more backlash, and the movie Christy debuted to one of the worst box office openings of all time. Great stuff.
