TOPEKA, Kan. — Kansas governor Laura Kelly announces $10 million of grant funding to support crime victims.
64 community organizations and government agencies across the state will receive federal Victims of Crime Act grants.
Funds are earmarked for three Southeast Kansas organizations: Hope Unlimited in Allen County—and in Crawford County, the Children’s Advocacy Center and the Safehouse Crisis Center.

The money will support a variety of victim services—from legal assistance and victim advocacy to mental health and crisis intervention. VOCA grants are funded by fines and penalties collected from federal convictions.
