JAMMU, Feb 17: J&K BJP spokesperson, Rajni Sethi demanded strict legal action and a fast-track trial, ensuring justice and exemplary punishment to deter Bishnah type heinous crimes in future which have shaken entire society. She was addressing the media persons, after meeting with the victim’s family at Bishnah, today.
Rajni Sethi said, “The heinous crime committed against a three-and-a-half-year-old innocent girl in Bishnah has shaken the entire Jammu & Kashmir. This is not just the pain of one family, but a deep wound on the conscience of society. The land that is known as the city of temples, where young girls are worshipped as goddesses during Navratras, today stands ashamed by such a horrific and unacceptable act.”
Rajni Sethi, who visited Bishnah and met the victim’s family today said, after seeing the condition of the child she could not control her tears. “Daughters belong to all of us; their dignity, safety, and protection are a collective responsibility of society”, she added.
She supported the family for demanding capital punishment for the accused.
She while condemning the heinous crime against an innocent girl child strongly demanded police ensure a fast-track investigation and strictest punishment to deliver swift justice.
“We have urged the police administration to complete all legal formalities at the earliest and file the charge sheet promptly so that the accused receives the strictest possible punishment. Nothing less than the death penalty will be acceptable,” she added.
State SC Morcha member, Meena Kumari, OBC Morcha representatives, and local party workers were present at press conference.. A clear message must go out to society that anyone who commits such a crime against a child will not be spared under any circumstances, she added.
