Benjamin M. Tillman, 37, of Winslow Street, was charged by city police on Friday with overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance.

Police did not provide further information on Tillman’s arrest.

Tillman was processed at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and given an appearance ticket for City Court.

Elizabeth J. R. Pettit, 34, of Winslow Street, was charged by city police on Friday with overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance.

According to police records, Pettit allegedly failed to seek and provide adequate veterinary care for a 4-year-old German shepherd, which had prolonged signs of sickness, including having diarrhea for about a month. Police further allege that the dog “appeared severely emaciated” saying that the dog’s hip bones were protruding, its spine and ribs could be visible through the skin, and a lack of muscle mass resulted in the dog’s hind legs being unable to support themselves. Police also say that there was fur loss on the top of the dog’s back.

Pettit was processed at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and given an appearance ticket for City Court.

Anita R. Vankoughnett, 41, of Cayuga Avenue, was charged by city police on Friday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to police records, Vankoughnett allegedly possessed a white crystalline substance which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Vankoughnett was processed and released with an appearance ticket for City Court.

Jose L. Valladares Alvarez, 21, of Winslow Street, was charged by city police on Saturday with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

According to police records, Valladares Alvarez allegedly held a sledgehammer above his head and threatened to hit the victim with it. Police also allege that he charged at the victim with the sledgehammer.

Valladares Alvarez was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, processed, and held pending arraignment in City Court.

Lucas J. Blackford, 44, of LaFargeville, was charged on Sunday when police executed two bench warrants.

Blackford was processed and arraigned in CAP Court.

Drew M. Davis, 23, no listed address, was charged by city police on Saturday with second-degree criminal contempt.

According to police records, Davis allegedly violated a stay-away order of protection.

Davis was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, processed, and held pending arraignment in City Court.

John F. Zuccaro Jr., 27, of Emerson Street, was charged by city police on Saturday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

According to police records, Zuccaro allegedly broke an $80 television belonging to the victim by punching it with his fist, causing the screen to crack.

Police further allege that Zuccaro shoved the victim.

Zuccaro was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, processed, and held for arraignment.

Naseem I. McCoy-Northern, 21, of Sterling Street, was charged by city police on Saturday with second-degree criminal contempt.

According to police records, McCoy-Northern allegedly violated a stay-away order of protection when he was found in the presence of the protected party’s residence.

McCoy-Northern was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, processed, and held pending arraignment.

Amber L. Burns, 34, no listed address, was charged by city police on Sunday with trespass.

According to police records, Burns allegedly set up an encampment that was posted “private property” and “no trespassing” while already having been told by property management that she was not allowed to be there.

Burns was processed on scene and released with an appearance ticket for City Court.
