Breaking Update: Here’s a clear explanation of the latest developments related to Breaking News:PregaNews launches Women’s Day film highlighting postpartum depression among 1 in 5 Indian mothers– What Just Happened and why it matters right now.
Mumbai: PregaNews, a pregnancy detection brand from Mankind Pharma, has launched a new digital film ahead of International Women’s Day to encourage open conversations around postpartum experiences—an often overlooked phase despite being one of the most emotionally and physically demanding periods in a woman’s life.
According to the brand, nearly one in five mothers in India experience postpartum depression, yet many continue to struggle in silence due to fear of judgment or misunderstanding. Through its latest campaign film, PregaNews seeks to bring attention to these realities by highlighting how postpartum struggles are often normalised in everyday conversations, with new mothers frequently expected to accept exhaustion, emotional changes and discomfort without openly sharing their feelings.
The film uses relatable moments and authentic storytelling to portray the quiet challenges many women face after childbirth, aiming to create a more supportive environment where mothers feel comfortable expressing their experiences without hesitation or judgment.
The initiative reflects PregaNews’ continued commitment to supporting women beyond pregnancy detection, recognising that motherhood involves emotional wellbeing alongside physical health.
Commenting on the campaign, Joy Chatterjee, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing for Consumer Division, Mankind Pharma, said, “At PregaNews, we believe that supporting women goes beyond pregnancy detection. Motherhood is a deeply personal journey, and every woman deserves understanding and empathy during this transformative phase. Through this campaign, we hope to encourage meaningful conversations around postpartum experiences and help create an environment where women feel heard, supported and reassured.”
The film was conceptualised and executed by Shweta Bhuchar, Co-Founder & Producer, and Gaurav Bhardwaj, Co-Founder & Director, of SG Dream Media, with a focus on portraying the quiet realities many new mothers face but rarely articulate.
With this Women’s Day initiative, PregaNews aims to strengthen its role beyond being a trusted pregnancy detection brand, positioning itself as a partner in women’s health conversations by addressing not only milestones but also the emotional realities that follow them.
