Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said its forces had targeted a Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker on Saturday in the Gulf as the war with Israel and the United States raged.

“An oil tanker with the trade name ‘Louise P’ with the flag of the Marshall Islands, one of the assets of the terrorist America, was hit by a drone in the middle of the Persian Gulf,” the Guards said on their website Sepah News.

The Israeli military has said that missiles were launched from Iran towards Israel.

In a statement on X, the Israeli army said it had identified missiles heading towards Israeli territory and that interception systems were being activated.

Hezbollah said it carried out two attacks targeting Israeli positions on Saturday.

In separate statements, Hezbollah said it launched a missile barrage at the Tzrifin base east of the Israeli city of Acre at 9:45am local time.

Hezbollah also said its fighters fired rockets at a gathering of vehicles near the Fatima Gate crossing in the Lebanese border town of Kfar Kila at 12:30pm local time.

The group said the attacks were carried out in response to what it described as Israeli strikes across Lebanon.

The deputy head of Iranian President Mahmoud Pezeshkian’s office said his message was “clear”:

“If countries in the region do not cooperate in the US attack on Iran, we will not attack them,” he said on the President’s remarks.

“Iran will never submit to coercion. Our powerful armed forces will give a decisive response to any aggression from US bases in the region,” he added.

Israel has attacked the Lebanese town of Shmestar in the Baalbek-Hermel governorate, killing six people, according to the country’s Health Ministry.

Four children and a woman are among those killed, it added.

Two media persons and a boat driver were arrested for allegedly trespassing into the high security zone of Cochin Port harbour in Kerala’s Kochi and taking photos and videos of an Iranian ship on Saturday, PTI quoted the police as saying.

They allegedly took photographs and videos of the Iranian ship that anchored here as part of a diplomatic decision of the Government of India for life-saving purposes, police said.

India’s major public-sector company, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), has assured customers of fuel availability amid social media panic over shortages, even as the US-Iran conflict engulfs West Asia.

In a message sent to many customers as SMS alerts in both English and Hindi, BPCL said the social media claims of a fuel shortage were “misleading and baseless”.

“Dear Valued Customer, claims of shortage in fuel supply circulating on social media are misleading and baseless. There is adequate fuel availability in the country. The number of people killed in Israeli air and ground raids on the Lebanese town of Nabi Chit in the eastern Bekaa Valley has risen to 41, according to the country’s Health Ministry.

The ministry also said the number of injured people reached 40.

Hezbollah ⁠has told ⁠residents of a northern Israeli city close ‌to the border with Lebanon to evacuate and ⁠head south.

“Warning. All ⁠residents of Kiryat Shmona ⁠are asked ⁠to evacuate ⁠immediately. Head south,” it said ‌in a statement.

The Israeli army is telling the residents in the district of Lebanon’s Tyre to evacuate before strikes, AFP reported.

Jordan accused Iran on Saturday of directly targeting sites in the kingdom, firing 119 missiles and drones in the week since US-Israeli strikes triggered a regional war.

Jordanian military spokesman Brigadier General Mustafa Hayari told a news conference that 108 of the projectiles had been intercepted.

“These missiles and drones were targeting vital installations inside Jordan and were not passing through our territories,” he said.

Mohammad Fathali, Iran’s ambassador to India, on Saturday said the Iranian people will not back down in the face of the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel, declaring that they would either win or die trying.

At least 16 ballistic missiles and 121 drones were launched at the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, authorities said.

All missiles but one that fell into the sea were intercepted. At least 119 drones were intercepted and two drones crashed within the UAE territory, they said.

The military added that the search operation did not uncover any findings connected to Arad at the site that was examined. Arad disappeared after his aircraft went down over Lebanon in 1986, and his fate remains unresolved despite decades of investigations and search efforts.

US Iran ‘war’ LIVE: Hezbollah said its fighters clashed with Israeli troops who carried out a helicopter-borne commando raid overnight in the eastern Lebanese town of Nabi Sheet, as Israeli strikes in the area left at least 16 people dead.

The group said four Israeli military helicopters entered from the Syrian direction and landed troops near a cemetery in the town. Hezbollah fighters engaged the force after it was spotted, triggering a clash that escalated as Israeli forces launched intense airstrikes before withdrawing, AFP reported. Israel’s military has not immediately commented on the incident.

Lebanese authorities said heavy Israeli strikes hit the Bekaa region, particularly Nabi Sheet, killing at least 16 people and wounding 35. Hezbollah said it later fired rockets at what it described as an Israeli evacuation area outside the town.

US Iran ‘war’ LIVE: Shipping company MSC said on Saturday that it would introduce an emergency fuel surcharge on all cargo shipments from the Mediterranean, including West Mediterranean, Adriatic, East Mediterranean, Greece and Turkey, as well as the Black Sea, to the Indian sub continent, Red Sea and East Africa from March 16.

The company said the surcharge would be $30 per twenty foot equivalent unit (TEU) for dry containers shipped from the Mediterranean and Black Sea to the Red Sea. Refrigerated containers on the same route will face a surcharge of $50 per TEU.

US Iran ‘war’ LIVE: Israel’s military said on Saturday that it had launched a fresh wave of air strikes on the Iranian cities of Tehran and Isfahan, as the US Israeli offensive against the Islamic Republic entered its second week.

“The IDF has begun a broad wave of strikes toward infrastructure of the Iranian terror regime in Tehran and Isfahan,” a military statement said.

The military said earlier on Saturday that 80 fighter jets had carried out another round of strikes on Tehran and other parts of central Iran.
