Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Dr Desh Deepak, Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, said that TB can be avoided altogether. He said the country has progressed in its fight against TB, but it still remains a challenge. Dr Deepak also highlighted this year’s theme, ‘Yes!’ We Can End TB. He urged citizens to check for symptoms, as early detection and identification of the disease can help to cure it by breaking the chain of transmission. He said TB is both preventable and curable.
