Ram Charan garu, AR Rahman garu, and Ratnavelu garu have created magic with their work, but I’m glad people are also talking about the lyrics. Not just portions, but the entire song’s lyrics are receiving a great response.
How was it working with Buchi Babu Sana?
Though it isn’t a love track or an item song, it is generating a lot of discussion. Buchi Babu garu was very particular about the lyrics, and we spent a lot of time discussing them. It took six months to pen Rai Rai Raa Raa. We wanted to ensure the song is both massy and inspirational.
How did you come up with the hook line ‘Rai Rai Raa Raa’?
The hero behaves like a leader in Peddi. In villages, people mostly use RTC buses, and when the conductor says “Rai Rai,” the bus moves forward. Just like that, one should keep moving forward in life. I am very happy to have written such a meaningful song for a big film.
How did Charan garu react after listening to the song for the first time?
He gave us complete freedom. Charan garu heard the song while shooting for another sequence, and the moment he heard it, he came and hugged me.
