Breaking News:Amazon launches Alexa powered Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 smart displays in India– What Just Happened

Amazon on Tuesday (January 20, 2026) launched its new Alexa powered Echo Show 11 and fourth-generation Echo Show 8 smart displays in India. The new smart speakers come with a new custom sensor and edge-to-edge display.

These new Echo Show smart displays are compatible with Alexa+, whenever it is available in India.

Echo Show 11 has an 11 inch display while the Echo Show 8 gets an 8.7 inches edge-to-edge glass HD display with touch controls.

Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 run on AZ3 Pro, along with Omnisense, a new sensor for ambient AI. It uses a range of sensors and signals, including the 13 MP camera with auto-framing and noise reduction technology, audio, ultrasound, Wi-Fi radar, accelerometer, and Wi-Fi CSI.

The new sensor helps in adjusting compatible smart lights and compatible devices through the Alexa app.

Both devices come with front-firing stereo speakers and a custom woofer for sound with spatial audio. The full-range drivers are placed under the displays and are designed to fire audio frontwards.

Customers can also monitor their homes and check in on family or pets using the ‘Drop In’ feature. They can even pair compatible security cameras and video doorbells with their device to view up to four live camera feeds on their device’s screen.

Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 include a microphone on/off button, in-app and on-device camera controls and the ability to view and delete voice recordings in the Alexa app.

Echo Show 11 is available in Graphite and Glacier White colours at ₹26,999, and Echo Show 8 is available in Graphite and Glacier White colours at ₹23,999. Customers can purchase the devices on Amazon, Flipkart, and offline stores of Reliance Digital and Croma.
