A drone strike occurred in southern Iran’s Bushehr province, targeting a warehouse that housed aid containers and emergency vehicles, a spokesperson for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies announced on Friday. The attack resulted in the destruction of two containers, two buses, and several emergency vehicles.
The strike comes amid ongoing US-Israeli military activities, which began in February. The IFRC, as the sole major humanitarian organization operating across Iran, has lost three responders since the hostilities commenced. Despite high stakes, blame for this particular strike remains undetermined.
The head of IFRC’s Iran delegation warned of the escalating medical needs across the nation, hinting at critical shortages in supplies if the violence continues unchecked. The situation poses a severe challenge to humanitarian efforts in the country.
