The release of a new Netflix documentary about Lamar Odom going into a coma after a drugs overdose has led Khloe Kardashian to give an extended interview about her marriage to the former NBA star.

The celebrity couple were in the process of getting a divorce when he fell into a three-day coma, having been discovered unconscious at a brothel in Nevada.

Despite this ongoing divorce however Khloe ended up in charge of his care after his father tried to turn off his life support machines, leading her to step in as they were still technically married.

During his coma Odom suffered 12 strokes and six heart attacks, with Kardashian helping nurse him back to health and later withdrawing her divorce. Following this recovery however the pair got into a major argument which led to Kardashian filling for divorce a second time.

The details of this argument have now been revealed in the Netflix doc, with Khloe stating that she punched him in the face after ‘smelling crack’.

The Kardashian sister spoke about how she spent ‘every day’ in the hospital for four months until he was released, adding: “We were determined to get him moving and walking again.

“He did learn to walk again [at the hospital] and that was really special.”

Khloe explained that when he was discharged he could ‘barely talk’ and couldn’t take a shower on his own so she rented him a home with a caretaker, a chef, saying: “We were gonna rehabilitate him.”

This changed however when she visited his home and smelled crack coming from his bathroom.

Speaking about this Khloe said: “Once you know the smell of crack, it’s the most identifiable disgusting smell. And there’s nothing you can confuse it with.”

Lamar’s now ex-wife said in the doc: “I remember stopping by the house and I smelled crack. Okay, I’m gonna f*cking be stealth as possible, and I’m going to see what this guy’s doing.

“I remember slowly tiptoeing up the stairs he was in his bedroom sitting on the edge of the bed smoking crack.”

She went on to explain what she did next, saying: “I just punched him in his face. ‘I just put my life on hold to f*cking take care of you. How did you get this? You don’t have a f*cking phone. You can’t talk’

“Well lo and behold, he had a phone. He was better than I knew.

“He was playing me so I can continue this lifestyle for him.”

Seeing him smoking crack was the final straw for the Kardashian, kicking him out the house and later that year filing for divorce.

The NBA star appeared to blame the incident on whoever provided him with the drugs, saying in the doc: “I’m trying to think about like who the f*ck… If you know Lamar Odom just went through that why would you even give him coke?”
