Health Update: Health Update: Brand News Media Launches ‘Wellness Diary’ To Drive Year- Round Women’s Health Awareness – Independent Newspaper Nigeria – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.

LAGOS  – Brand Multimedia Communication Network (BMC Network), publishers of Brand News Media, has introduced ‘Wellness Diary’, a holistic health initiative targeted at women and aimed at keeping conversations and actions around their wellbeing active throughout the year.

Spearheaded by journalist and media professional Aderayo Olaiya, the initiative addresses the increasing demand for accessible, practical, and continuous health information for women, particularly beyond one-off observances such as International Women’s Day.

*Wellness Diary* is designed as a three-part platform that blends information sharing, engagement, and community impact: Wellness Diary with Rayo (Podcast) is a weekly podcast that explores a broad spectrum of health and wellness issues affecting women, children, and families.

It features expert opinions, real-life experiences, and practical advice tailored to everyday living.

In a similar vein, “Wellness Diary Live (Virtual Event Series)” is an interactive webinar series where health professionals discuss specific topics, giving participants the chance to ask questions, gain insights, and engage directly with.

The debut session, titled “Women’s Wellness in Tough Times: Staying Healthy Amid Challenges,” focuses on cost-effective nutrition for women.

Thirdly is “The Wellness Summit , Flagship Physical Event,” which is scheduled for later in the year, and being an in-person event, it would bring together health experts, advocates, and women from various backgrounds to deepen discussions, exchange ideas, and encourage collaboration on women’s health issues.

According to the organisers, the initiative is intended to shift women’s health advocacy from periodic awareness campaigns to sustained, long-term impact.

Olaiya emphasised this vision, noting that women’s health concerns are ongoing and not confined to specific dates or seasons. She explained that the initiative is designed to ensure continuous dialogue, support, and access to vital health information.

Launched as part of activities marking this year’s International Women’s Day, ‘Wellness Diary’ also reflects BMC Network’s broader commitment to development-driven journalism and community-focused initiatives.

Through its integrated structure, the programme aims to equip women with knowledge, create inclusive spaces for engagement, and build a well-informed community around health and wellness in Nigeria.
