Apple Martin has set her sights on the entertainment industry – but not in the way you’d expect.

Instead of turning her hand towards acting like her superstar mother, Gwyneth Paltrow, or music like her dad, Chris Martin, Apple appears to be more comfortable in a directing role.

It’s been reported she’s leading the crew on a theatre production at her $67,000-a-year college.

Apple, 21, is set to graduate from Vanderbilt University in May with a degree in law, history, and society, but before she ventures out into the big, bad world, she’s getting all the experience she can under her belt.

She shared stage snaps as she gushed over the ‘best weekend, best people, best org, best memories’ before her college added: ‘Miss Director couldn’t have said it better’.

In 2025, Apple told Interview magazine how she loves the theatre ‘more than anything’.

She said: ‘I would love to do theatre because I adore it so much. I’ve obviously never done film before, but I’ve been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theatre kid.’

She previously wanted to go into law school, but later saw the light. She told Vogue: I was in that rebellious “I don’t wanna be like my parents” type of phase.’

‘I don’t wanna be a singer. I like musical theatre, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying,’ she said of not wanting to follow in her famous dad’s footsteps. ‘I love dancing, and I love acting. My dream is to act.’
