Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao, addressing the media on Sunday evening, made strong allegations against Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, stating that corruption linked to his company has become evident to the public. He alleged that the government has gone on the defensive, prompting Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to resort to diversionary tactics instead of providing clear answers.
Harish Rao further claimed that irregularities within the government are being questioned by Kaushik Reddy, and that attempts are being made to intimidate him. He demanded that the Chief Minister be referred to the Ethics Committee for allegedly using inappropriate language in the Assembly.
Highlighting alleged lapses in the mining sector, he called for a probe by a sitting judge instead of CB-CID, asserting that a fair investigation cannot proceed while Ponguleti continues as minister. He also pointed out that a penalty of ₹28 lakh imposed on the minister remains unpaid, and accused the Pollution Control Board of inaction.
Harish Rao stated that he is ready to face any inquiry involving his family and challenged the government to order a comprehensive investigation into all allegations. He confirmed submitting a letter to the Speaker seeking a judicial probe into 20 issues and announced that the party will unveil its action plan from Telangana Bhavan on Monday.
