Damascus, March 29 (SANA) – Syria’s Economy and Industry Minister Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar issued a decision forming the Syrian-Romanian Business Council from the Syrian side as part of efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to the decision, Nour Eddine Abdul Wahid was appointed chairman of the council, with Ahmad Bitar and Imad Qassas serving as vice-chairmen, Edward Mansour as executive director and Mounir Kurdi as secretary-general.

The ministry said the council will operate in accordance with the bylaws governing joint Syrian business councils with other countries, and the decision takes effect immediately.

The Economy Ministry earlier issued similar decisions on March 26 establishing joint Syrian business councils with Spain, Kuwait and the Netherlands as part of efforts to expand trade cooperation with international partners.
