Boyzone singer Ronan Keating broke his social media silence hours after his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly announced she had married ‘love of my life’ John Conroy in New York.

The couple surprised pals when they announced they got hitched in New York, 14 years after meeting on the set of Dark Touch, which starred Yvonne and Ronan’s eldest daughter, Missy.

Ronan and Yvonne, who separated in 2010 after 12 years of marriage, after he had an affair with a backing dancer, share three children, Jack, Missy and Ali, all of whom joined their mum in New York for the ceremony. They were also joined by John’s six children, who he shares with his ex-wife.

And while hundreds of well wishes congratulated the happy couple on their nuptials, Ronan remained silent on the big day. He instead shared a picture of him and his wife, Storm, overlooking the ocean in Sydney.

Captioning the post, Ronan wrote: ‘Sydney you rock.’

The post came just hours after Yvonne announced: ‘I married the love of my life today in New York City enveloped by our 9 children.

‘Tears of joy and happiness have been shed and our true love celebrated. 14 years together and I love you more and more everyday John Conroy.

‘You are the most beautiful, kind, funny, intelligent, talented man and I am blessed to now call you my husband. Here’s to Forever my Darling.’

Yvonne previously recalled meeting cinematographer John on the film set of horror movie, Dark Touch, and how it was ‘love at first sight.’

She said at the time: ‘I first met John on a film set in 2011 and my daughter was acting in it, she had the lead role, and I was introduced to John.

‘He was the DP which means he shoots the movie, and for me, it was love at first sight.

‘It was probably not until the end of the movie that we probably all went to Sweden for about three weeks to shoot after shooting in Ireland and that’s when I really got to know him.

‘When you’re on a movie set, three weeks feels like three years, so I felt like I really knew him by the end of that.

‘It went on for a couple of months and it wasn’t until the very end of the shoot that we went out on a date and we did.

‘Neither of us expected too much because we were both just out of relationships and here we are nine years later.’
