Former Miss South Africa Natasha Vermaak has announced the arrival of her first child.

Taking to Instagram, she shared the news alongside a collage of images from her delivery: “At 41 weeks and 2 days, 30 hours of labour, she’s finally here. Our greatest, biggest blessing – Klein Vermaakie.”

The couple have not yet revealed their daughter’s official name publicly.

Natasha and her husband Enrico Vermaak have been together for a decade, having first started dating as teenagers.

They married in an intimate ceremony at Cavalli Estate in Cape Town, after Enrico proposed during a sunset yacht cruise at the V&A Waterfront in February 2024.

The baby’s arrival comes just days before the couple mark their first wedding anniversary.

When Natasha announced her pregnancy in October, she was open about why they had kept it quiet for five months, saying they wanted to wait until health checks and the anatomy scan were done before going public.

She was also candid about the emotional toll, writing on Instagram: “I have been challenged mentally, physically and psychologically. I’ve had many turbulences with friendships and work, and have felt guilty for not just feeling joyous.”

The couple revealed they were expecting a girl through a gender reveal video, sitting together in a picnic setting and cutting into a cake with a pink interior.

In November, the pair celebrated with a pink-themed baby shower at Rosemary Hill Farm in Pretoria West, with Natasha describing it as the “baby shower of our dreams.”

Through it all, she kept her followers close, sharing the highs and the hard moments. Now, with Klein Vermaakie finally in their arms, it is safe to say the wait was worth every second.
