The government has called an all-party meeting this evening to discuss the ongoing conflict across West Asia. The all-party meeting will take place in the Parliament complex. Talking to reporters at the Parliament premises, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the government has called the meeting to discuss the ongoing situation with the opposition parties. He said that it is also the opposition’s duty to play a constructive role during a crisis, but unfortunately, the opposition is playing petty politics over it.Â

Republican Party of India (A) Chief and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said that, during the meeting, there will be a discussion on the West Asia crisis, and everyone should bring in their perspectives.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made a statement in both Houses of Parliament on the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He had said that the government has made the necessary preparations to ensure an adequate supply of oil, gas and fertilisers.
