Ryan Kailath has been hired by Business Insider as a senior editor on its economy team and will oversee a team of reporters covering the job market, student loans, and the intersection of culture and the economy.
Kailath has more than a decade of experience covering the economy, business, and the financial forces shaping everyday life. He was a reporter at NPR, Marketplace, and a range of national outlets, and previously covered culture for WNYC and Gothamist. He’s known for translating complex economic and policy issues into clear, accessible journalism.
As an editor at KUOW, he worked across multiple beats and contributed to award-winning stories recognized with Edward R. Murrow Awards.
