Kottayam: They may belong to two different political parties and two different political fronts. But for senior CPM leader K Suresh Kurup and CMP leader C P John, friendship is beyond politics. Kurup was present at the election photoshoot of his friend John, making relevant suggestions at a resort in Changanassery. The photoshoot was for designing posters for John by S Radhakrishnan, who is a common friend. “When I told Kurup about the photoshoot, he expressed his willingness to accompany me,” said Radhakrishnan, who is the creative director of Creative Minds, an advertising firm based in Kottayam.Radhakrishnan has been designing posters for Kurup ever since the historic maiden win of Kurup in 1984 Parliament elections. Kurup was the state president of SFI and John was the state secretary then. Later, John left the party to join CMP when M V Raghavan formed the party in 1986.Kurup was elected to the Lok Sabha four times and to the assembly in both 2011 and 2016.
