(Conejo/San Fernando Valleys) – – LA WINDS, Los Angeles Symphonic Winds, presents a concert devoted to enhancing wellness through music, on Sunday, April 12, 2016 from 2:30-4:30pm at the Performing Arts Theater, located at Van Nuys High School, 6535 Cedros Avenue, Van Nuys, CA 91411.

“The internationally acclaimed orchestra will perform “A Sonic Journey to Health and Wellness”, with an afternoon of music featuring James Barnes’ inspiring “Hope Arises”, Eric Whitacre’s jubilant “Noise Wheels of Joy” and Randall Standridge’s powerful ”unBroken”.

In addition to the music, internationally recognized educator on positive aging, Maureen Feldman, will speak about the pursuit and practice of health, wellness, creativity, and living to one’s full potential at any age.

LA WINDS is a 90 piece community ensemble, with musicians drawn from Los Angeles- based musicians, many of whom have performed with major symphonies, motion picture and television recording studio orchestras. Performances include a variety of classical, popular and commercial music. Since 1983, the LA WINDS has been a leading force in Southern California’s cultural community.
