Health Update: Health Update: Radicle Science gains funding from Resilience Reserve to expand precision health and wellness – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.
The health technology public benefit corporation Radicle Science has received a multi-million US dollar investment from Resilience Reserve to accelerate the development of precision wellness products.
The funding will strengthen Radicle Science’s ability to expand its Proof-as-a-Service platform, which provides a high-throughput clinical evidence-generation engine.
“Our patent-pending Proof-as-a-Service innovation platform empowers companies to innovate, protect their IP, make defensible health claims, and target the populations they can best serve,” says Radicle Science.
The exact amount in US dollars for the investment has not been disclosed.
“Radicle Science has pioneered a remarkable ability to put non-pharmaceutical products through large, rigorous clinical trials, thereby unlocking powerful new possibilities for affordable treatments,” says Chris Anderson, co-owner of Resilience Reserve and head of non-profit organization TED Talks.
Meanwhile, the company has also been invited to participate in two programs: the One Mind Accelerator, a program for early-stage companies developing novel mental health solutions, and Plug & Play Silicon Valley’s innovation cohorts, which host multiple industry-focused accelerators annually.
Radicle Science says its scalable, high-throughput platform combines AI and consumer science with placebo-controlled clinical trials. This generates evidence on non-prescription therapies across diverse populations, the company notes.
“Our work with the One Mind Accelerator and Plug & Play puts us in ecosystems that are shaping the future of consumer health. Together, Radicle and Resilience Capital aim to bring clinical validation to real wellness innovations faster, more precisely, more inclusively, and more credibly,” says Radicle Science’s CEO, Dr. Jeff Chen, and co-founder and executive chairwoman Pelin Thorogood.
Last year, Radicle Science launched Radicle Discovery Gen 2, the next version of its Proof-as-a-Service platform designed to enable non-pharmaceutical health and wellness products to clinically prove their claims. It combines rigorous clinical trials, AI, data, and crowdsourcing to validate the effects of natural products across diverse populations.
