BusinessDay Media Limited has partnered with Fernhill Digital to launch ‘She Means Business’, a new business intelligence platform designed to support and amplify the influence of women shaping Africa’s economy.

The platform will debut with a monthly magazine distributed as an insert in the BusinessDay newspaper, with the inaugural edition scheduled for release on March 20, 2026.

She Means Business aims to fill a longstanding gap in the African media and business landscape by creating a dedicated intelligence ecosystem focused on women leaders across sectors such as finance, entrepreneurship, technology, infrastructure, and public policy.

The initiative will combine editorial storytelling with strategic insights, offering frameworks, data-driven analysis, and practical lessons drawn from the experiences of women leading companies, managing investments, and influencing policy decisions across the continent.

Frank Aigbogun, publisher and chief executive officer of BusinessDay, said the initiative aligns with the publication’s mission to deepen economic conversations and highlight the role of women in Nigeria’s development story.

“Nigeria’s development story is incomplete without women,” Aigbogun said. “This partnership allows us to position women as equal partners in economic progress, not as a side conversation, but as central to the intelligence we deliver.”

Beyond the magazine, the She Means Business platform will expand into a broader ecosystem that includes executive experiences, research products, and strategic conversations aimed at strengthening women’s participation and leadership in Africa’s economy.

Datari Ladejo, CEO of Fernhill Digital/Forbes Agency Council Member, said the platform was created to document and amplify the strategic thinking behind women’s leadership in business.

“Nigeria’s women executives, investors, entrepreneurs, and political leaders have been driving economic outcomes without a dedicated business intelligence platform built to match the scale of what they are building,” she said.

“She Means Business exists to close that gap, which is not only by celebrating women in apex positions but by documenting the intelligence behind how they scale, lead, and wield influence.”

She stated that the collaboration with BusinessDay provides the editorial credibility, institutional backing, and distribution network required to reach influential decision-makers across Nigeria’s corporate and policy landscape.

Founded in 2001, BusinessDay has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading sources of business and financial intelligence, reaching millions of readers through its print and digital platforms. The publication also operates conferences, events, and a research and intelligence unit.

Fernhill Digital, founded by Ladejo, is a strategic communications and digital transformation firm that works with organisations across Africa to strengthen digital authority, communication strategy, and transformation initiatives.

With the launch of She Means Business, both organisations noted the aim to create a long-term knowledge platform capable of informing policy debates, influencing boardroom decisions, and accelerating the growth of women-led economic activity across Africa.
