It’s time to assemble, Harry Styles fans. The singer has new music out, and we need to talk about it.
Ever since the former One Direction member put out his third album, Harry’s House, fans have been itching for Harry to release new tunes. Well, he answered everyone’s wishes back in January, when he revealed his fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, would be available on March 6, 2026. He made the big announcement on Instagram, and naturally, it caused a frenzy among fans.
I listened to Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally as soon as it was available, and I recruited some of my fellow editors to share their opinions on the new album, too.
So, how did the folks at Good Housekeeping feel about Harry’s latest music? Take a look at our breakdowns below.
Type of Harry Styles fan: While I am a longtime fan of Harry since his One Direction days, I’ve honestly been a more casual listener of his music over the last few years.
Thoughts on the album overall: As a die-hard fan of Harry’s 2019 album Fine Line, I always compare his later music to that. While I admittedly wasn’t a huge fan of Harry’s House, this pleasantly surprised me in ways I didn’t expect! Between the juxtaposition of the funky beats and the seamless way he moves into more soulful tracks, I found myself unexpectedly feeling all types of emotions throughout … and I notoriously don’t like to get in my feels at all!
Favorite song off the album: I am obsessed with “Coming Up Roses!” I love how it strayed away from using beats and instead went more traditional with a piano playing throughout. I also adored how slow the song is compared to the other tracks’ fast-paced tempos.
Overall album rating: 7/10. Will I be listening to this album as much as I thoroughly enjoy Fine Line? Not exactly. But will I automatically shut it off if it’s playing on the radio or in the background while I’m doing other activities? Not at all.
- Type of Harry Styles fan: I have tickets to three shows for his MSG residency and have seen him four times before. My work screen saver is “I <3 Harry Styles.” He is everything.
- Thoughts on the album overall: I will be listening anywhere, and everywhere—there’s a song for dancing, for crying, for running, and for kissing, of course. I’m always impressed by how he transforms sonically between albums, and this feels like a true reflection of where he’s at in life right now. It’s fresh!
- Favorite song off the album: Ugh, that’s such a hard one! But right now, I’m thinking “Coming Up Roses,” because it really highlights his voice. The other songs are fun, but I love to hear him sing.
- Overall album rating: 8/10. I’m comparing it to his other albums, and I wish this one had a song that was more all-out like “Kiwi” (off Harry Styles) or “Satellite” (off Harry’s House).
Type of Harry Styles fan: I’m a long-time Harry fan. I started listening to One Direction in 2011 and have followed each member’s solo career ever since. Harry has always held a special place in my heart because my favorite One Direction songs were written by him.
Thoughts on the album overall: This very much sounds like an album of duality—Kiss All the Time (slower romantic songs), Disco Occasionally (club music and funky beats). Because of that, I can see myself listening to it in a variety of scenarios, while getting ready for a night out, moving and grooving on the dance floor, or during my commute to work.
Favorite song off the album: “Pop” immediately caught my attention with its blown-out bass and easy danceability. I’m also loving “Season 2 Weight Loss” for its techno influence.
Overall album rating: 7/10, but I can see it becoming an 8/10 the more that I listen to it!
Type of Harry Styles fan: Casual listener; I have a few go-to songs from recent albums, but I wouldn’t consider myself a Harry Styles expert. I really loved his self-titled album in 2017, though … “From the Dining Table” [from Harry Styles] is probably my favorite song of his, hands down.
Thoughts on the album overall: As more of a laid-back, moody acoustic fan, I don’t think I’d listen to this while relaxing at home or taking a drive. But I do think it’d be super fun to blast while running in the park or getting ready for a night out with friends. There are a lot of really cool beats, synths, and techno vibes that definitely make me want to dance.
Favorite song off the album: I’m personally more drawn to mellow tracks like “Coming Up Roses” and “Paint By Numbers.”
Overall album rating: 6/10 … but I think it’ll probably grow on me!
