The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Thursday commissioned a new Wellness Centre at Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
A MoH release said that the facility which is located in the compound of the Eccles Health Centre was inaugurated by Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, he highlighted that traditional healthcare systems often concentrate on managing illnesses after they occur. As such, the establishment of the Wellness Centre represents a proactive approach aimed at helping individuals maintain good health and reduce the risk of developing chronic conditions.
