Brussels Airlines will introduce an upgraded premium economy service on its long-haul flights from mid-March.

The new features include improved tableware, premium chinaware, steel cutlery, paper card menus, three options for hot meals during the main meal service, an ‘enhanced’ starter and ‘improved’ pre-landing meals on extended routes.

Additionally, economy class passengers on long-haul flights will receive an extra food item with their main meal tray, while business class passengers on short-haul flights will be offered fresh towels and bottled water before take-off.

As part of the Lufthansa Group, Brussels Airlines is scheduled to implement Starlink wifi across all cabin classes later this year.

“Brussels Airlines is on a journey to overhaul the entire passenger experience,” said Thibaut Dewilde, head of inflight product at Brussels Airlines. “Our aim is to create a boutique hotel in the air and on the ground, and these investments reflect exactly that.”
