Married at First Sight star Mikey Pembroke has shared a glimpse inside the current situation in Dubai.
Over the weekend, Iran has been targeting American military bases in Middle Eastern cities including Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain.
It comes following the death of their supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed by US and Israeli strikes on Saturday.
As the strikes continue, footage of missiles hitting Dubai have been circulating online with current advice for locals and holidaymakers to stay indoors.
Among those in Dubai at the moment is Sydney native Mikey Pembroke, who appeared on the seventh season of Married At First Sight, and relocated to Dubai in 2025.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday evening, Mikey confirmed that Dubai had been hit and he heard ‘about 20 explosions above my apartment building.’

‘The Palm — which is an exclusive area of Dubai — has been hit,’ he confirmed, ‘There’s been like 20 explosions.
‘I think they’re missiles being intercepted above where I’m staying. So… I don’t know what’s going on.’
The reality star followed up with footage of buildings on fire nearby, revealing that missiles were flying ‘literally next to me.’

Also currently in Dubai is Dublin make-up artist Aideen Kate Murphy, who emigrated with her fiancé Dave Kelly last year.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday morning, Aideen extended thanks to her followers for checking in on them and confirmed they were okay.
‘We are absolutely fine here in Dubai,’ she confirmed, ‘Very surreal what’s happening now though, I won’t lie.
‘We’re just honestly following advice of what the Government are telling us to do, which is mostly just stay inside because they’re basically intercepting missiles being shot over.

‘The reason they are telling everyone stay inside is because any falling debris could obviously cause damage, so we don’t really wanna be involved in any of that…’
Aideen reiterated that they were ‘completely fine,’ but had an emergency bag ready to go if needed.
‘I’m very hopeful that we won’t need to use it!’ she noted.
On Sunday, US President Donald Trump warned Iran not to retaliate, as they had threatened to do so.
Noting that Iran had confirmed they will respond, Trump wrote that ‘if they do, we will hit them with a force that has never been seen before!’
Confirming the death of the Iran supreme leader on Saturday, Trump said bombing would ‘continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary’ to achieve peace in the Middle East.’
