Grammy award-winning singer Pink has addressed and refuted false reports suggesting a separation from her husband, former motocross racer Carey Hart, with whom she has been for over 20 years.

This follows an article by “People Magazine” where it was reported that the 46-year-old singer and her husband had broken up.

The “So What” hitmaker dismissed the news in a video she posted on Instagram on Thursday, February 26, stating that neither she nor her children were aware of the divorce and urging the media outlet to focus more on important matters like the Epstein files than her marriage.

“So I was just alerted to the fact that, uh, I’m separated from my husband, I didn’t know… Thank you for letting me know. I was wondering if you’d also like to tell our children. My 14-year-old and 9-year-old are also unaware.

“Or do you want to talk about some real news? Do you want to talk about the Epstein files? Do you want to talk about systemic racism or misogyny in sports or how classy the women’s hockey team is?” she said.

Pink added that she had just been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, emphasising that her career milestones deserved attention rather than the fake rumours about her marriage.

“Or do you maybe want to talk about the fact that I got nominated the first year I was eligible for the Rock and Roll motherf****ng Hall of Fame?” she asked.

“Do you want to talk about my accomplishments or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise?” She firmly labelled the reports about her marriage as “fake news” and insisted they were not true.

“Like I always say. If you don’t hear it from me, don’t believe the hype,” Pink wrote in her Instagram caption.

The singer and the former motocross racer had previously faced ups and downs throughout their marriage. The two began dating in 2001 and were married in Costa Rica in January 2006.

The couple experienced a brief separation in 2008 after announcing that they were putting a pin in their marriage. They later reconciled in 2009, ultimately calling off their divorce and rebuilding their relationship.

Hart told “People Magazine” after they reconciled that they are focusing on rebuilding their relationship. “We’re rebuilding. Sometimes you have to take a couple of steps backwards to move forward,” he said.

The couple was last seen together in New York City last year where they reportedly seemed tense and were noticeably not wearing their wedding rings. They share two kids, daughter Willow, who is 14, and their son, Jameson, who is 9 years old.
