Patna, Feb 25 (IANS) BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, alleging that the Nehru-Gandhi family has historically carried out “compromised missions” that prioritised their personal and political interests over those of the nation. Nabin referred to Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, as the “poster boy of negative politics” and accused the family for what he described as decades of compromising India’s national interests.
He also accused the Congress MP of being a puppet in the hands of foreign powers acting against India and carrying the “compromise legacy” of his family. The LoP in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday termed the arrest of Indian Youth Congress president as an example of authoritarian tendency of the central govt. Rahul also defended the Youth Congress protest at the AI Impact Summit in Delhi as a democratic right to raise concerns about govt policy.Attacking Rahul, Nitin said everyone saw how he was roaming with foreign nationals like Shakib Nirali in a sensitive border area like Ladakh. “Rahul is furthering the anarchic mentality of the Congress party,” he said and alleged that the Nehru-Gandhi family had compromised with foreign powers.“History bears witness to how Nehru’s office was an open book to the CIA and other foreign agencies. How Nehru handed over India’s rights in Tibet to China in 1954 without any reward. How Warren Anderson, the killer of thousands of Indians in the Bhopal gas tragedy, was safely escorted out of the country on a state plane. Sonia Gandhi, throughout her political career, from 2004 to 2014, operated a parallel govt and cabinet. During that period, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation received funding from the Chinese govt and George Soros’ network,” the BJP chief alleged.Referring to the tenure of former PM Jawaharlal Nehru, Nitin alleged a letter was written to the United Nations Security Council advocating for permanent membership for China. “This was part of his compromise mission,” he said.Nitin also said the then US ambassador admitted that the CIA had funded Congress’s election campaign. “The Shimla Agreement was signed and 93,000 Pakistani soldiers were released without occupying PoK. Under what compromise mission was this done?” he asked.Nitin also referred to former PM Rajiv Gandhi and the Bofors scandal during his regime.Countering Rahul’s remarks, Union minister and former JD(U) chief Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh advised Rahul to behave like a mature politician.
