The new report comes from a well-known Weibo leaker, Instant Digital, who suggests the iPhone Fold will enter production in July 2026, provided there are no last-minute issues. According to Instant Digital (Google Translated):

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the iPhone Fold foldable screen will begin mass production around July, just like the iPhone 18 Pro, and will be released simultaneously.”

Apparently, the iPhone Fold is expected to enter full production alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series, and they are also planned for a simultaneous launch later this year. Apple has traditionally launched new flagship iPhones in September of every year, so there’s no reason to believe this tradition will change. Therefore, the iPhone Fold, along with the iPhone 18 Pro series, is expected to launch in September 2026.

Moreover, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg believes Apple will stick to its traditional colors, such as Space Gray/Space Black and Silver/White, for the iPhone Fold. Apparently, the company doesn’t want to experiment with fun colors, which is understandable, given the premium nature of this iPhone.

However, the iPhone 18 Pro series will get new colors, including “Deep Red,” which suggests a Burgundy-like shade. That said, it could also be Apple’s (Product) Red color. Only time will tell which colors Apple decides to go with for its new phones.
