Health Update: Health Update: Wellness Council of Boyertown hosts 19th Annual Wellness Fair – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.
The Wellness Council of Boyertown hosts its 19th Annual Wellness Fair at Boyertown Area Senior High Bear Gym from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
Health-related vendors from all around the area will be available in the gym to share information and answer questions. Some vendors will even offer discount coupons for their services. The family event is free and open to the community — everyone is welcome.
The activities will start at the Boyertown High School track with the Community Impact Walk led by the BASH Impact Club at 9 a.m., followed by the Running of the Bears competition at 9:30 a.m. For the competition, elementary school students and their family members compete to see which school can complete the most laps and win the coveted Healthy Bear trophy to keep in the school’s display case. Last year, Boyertown Elementary was the winning school to earn the trophy.
The Wellness Fair officially opens at 10 a.m. and will include numerous health and wellness-related vendors, as well as youth activities. Senior Bingo Walking will be held at 10:30 a.m.
The Kids Celebrity Chef healthy cooking competition and community judging will start at 11 a.m. Six elementary school finalists will bring their delicious, healthy dishes for the panel of judges and the community to taste the recipes between 11 and noon. The winners will be announced at 12:30 p.m.
The Wellness Council welcomes any health-related businesses and nonprofits to participate as vendors or sponsors. Details and the registration forms are available at www.boyertownwellness.org.
