Officials have confirmed the cause of death of Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria Jones, saying she died from the toxic effects of cocaine.

Additionally, the San Francisco Chief Medical Examiner announced that her death was accidental.

The 34-year-old was found dead at a hotel in San Francisco on Jan. 1.
Her family spoke out about their tragic loss on Jan. 2.
“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you,” the family said in a statement, per people.com.
San Francisco Police and the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a report of a medical emergency at the San Francisco Fairmont on Jan. 1 at 2:52 a.m.
Upon arrival, they found a deceased person who was unnamed at the time.
Citing a police source, NBA Bay Area later reported the woman was believed to be Victoria.
According to people.com, the call for the incident was classified as a “code 3 for the overdose, colour change.”

In overdose cases, “colour change” refers to cyanosis — low oxygen levels in the blood, often linked to heart or lung issues, according to the Cleveland Clinic. This causes a blue or purple discolouration of skin, lips and nails.

Victoria had previous run-ins with law
According to court records obtained by the New York Post, The Fugitive star’s daughter was arrested at least two times in 2025 in Napa County, Calif.
In April, she was arrested for obstructing a peace officer, using/being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a narcotic controlled substance, to which she pleaded not guilty.
Victoria was arrested again in June for domestic battery and domestic violence involving elder abuse, to which she also pleaded not guilty.
A San Francisco police officer who had dealings with Victoria told the Post she struggled with substance abuse issues and suspected her death was “fentanyl-related.”
Victoria made her film debut in Tommy’s 2002 movie Men in Black II. She is credited as Immigrant Girl in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a Western, and also held acting credits in Sorry, Haters and her dad’s 2014 flick The Homesman, as well as a role in a 2005 episode of One Tree Hill.
