Trending Now: This entertainment story covers the latest buzz, reactions, and updates surrounding Trending Now: Eric Roberts on what ‘brought him back to earth’ following highest DWTS score of the season – Fans React..
Eric Roberts has shared his reaction to getting the highest score on Dancing with the Stars of the season, admitting the style of dance ‘really, really suited him.’
The Ireland AM presenter is currently dancing his way through the celebrity dancing competition alongside professional dance partner Arianna Favaro.
Last weekend was Fright Night, with Eric and Arianna’s Charleston to Happy by Derek Martin, with the judges’ score of 39 sure to terrify their fellow competitors.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s show, Eric confirmed things were ‘100%’ getting more competitive as the competition progresses, adding that it was sad to see his fellow competitors go.
‘There’s definitely a competitive edge coming out of people, but it’s understandable,’ he said. ‘Everyone wants to perform their best every weekend, and you wanna keep a few tricks up your sleeve.
‘I have to say, I want to be here to the bitter end. I want to be there at the final.’

The Donegal man added that it was an ‘incredible buzz’ to get the highest score of the season on Sunday, but was ‘brought back down to earth’ on Monday with a new routine.
‘There’s obviously an added pressure coming out of a weekend of 10s… you’re almost expected to perform really well the following weekend and it’s not always going to be the case,’ Eric explained.
‘The Charleston was a dance that really, really suited me and I loved it. Going forward, there’s going to be dances that I’m not confident with at all.

‘If I got four 2s last weekend, the only way is up,’ he added, noting there was an ‘added pressure’ for the coming show to do as well as his previous performance.
This week will see the contestants go head-to-head for the Boy Bands v Girl Groups theme, with Eric and Arianna doing the Cha-Cha-Cha to Jonas Brothers‘ Waffle House.
The show will also see the return of the presenters’ head-to-head, with Laura Fox and Jennifer Zamparelli joining the mix for the Team Dance.
Laura Fox leads the ladies’ team, with the group dancing to Spice Girls’ Spice Up Your Life, while reigning champion Jennifer heads the men’s team with a performance to Take That and Lulu’s Relight My Fire.
Dancing with the Stars airs Sundays at 6.30pm on RTÉ One.
